This Earth of Mankind by Pramoedya Ananta Toer is a historical novel about Dutch colonialism in Indonesia. paper was aimed to find and describe the social stratification past that written novel. carried out with only one research question: How Toer’s Novel?. qualitative research, specifically document analysis. The main source this Mankind, 9th edition publishes Hasta Mitra 2002. total page 405. In addition, secondary sources are also needed such as online information writer previous researcher who has been conducted similar research. found there were three classes society era, group privilege, enjoyed lavish life, live comfortably. Native born from regent or governor, they can attend education where Indo attended E.L.S H.B.S last, native without had low status society.
